I never imagined I would actually be able to send this email, despite desperately hoping to be able to, but… we did it!!

Redcatch Quarter was unanimously rejected by Bristol City Councillors today, mainly on the grounds of density.

They listened to you, and agreed that it would be too tall, and too dense. I’m over the moon, utterly shell-shocked and there is a profound sense of relief in the streets surrounding Broadwalk tonight.

This is far from the end of the overall story; Broadwalk is still in need of a lot of TLC and we remain committed to finding a better scheme that will improve it for the long-term. KNPG will now regroup and work out what we do from here, and I’m sure the developers will be doing the same. I hope we can meet and talk as equals now that the community have regained some power.

If you'd like to be part of that discussion, KNPG are always happy to welcome new members, drop us an email if you’d like to come to our next meeting (admin@knpg.do.uk)

Thank you so much for your support of our campaign, and for believing that it’s always worth fighting for what you believe in!!!
