Many Brother Knights will no longer choose to participate in the 4th Degree and many 3rd degree will no longer seek to advance to the 4th.  The uniform is indistinguishable from a average person dressed for church in a blazer and tie K of C change uniforms.  The beret is the only significant sign and it is more "military" than the look of a "Knight".  The lack of color will no longer designate order and the significant look of the Knights.  Membership was never given the opportunity to even consider change whether change was wanted or even necessary.  Now consider the additional cost to members and the waste of uniforms that will no longer be considered usable (tuxedo, cape, chapeau, sword, baldric (dress & service)).
