Most shops selling plastic bags should charge more for plastic bags and charge less for tote bags because plastic bags are really harmful to marine life. So we want to get rid of plastic, especially plastic bags. Plastics can do many harmful things to the environment and can cause animals suffering from plastic. They can get caught in the plastics and/or eat it. When plastic goes into the ocean fish eat that plastic, then you go fishing and eat the fish. So in a sense, you're eating the harmful chemicals in plastic.
