  1. A Green party councillor is doing a petition protecting castle hill also . Since about 2 months ago.. the same length of time about as ive been doing this petition.

He is a member of the Party. Only about 15,000 signatures are needed.

I spoke to various charities who use facebook ads.. Greenpeace, wildlife, charities and they said that the majority of their petition signatures do not come from the petitions thru facebook ads but from their large body of members who subscribe to their emailing lists

I notice here that Green party do sponsored petitions.

So, if the main Green party headquarters will not sponsor or put Cllr Andrew Coopers petition in their own emailing lists.. when he is green party himself.. then whos petitions WILL they sponsor? When its clear that bulk email is THE main way to get large signature volume in.

15,000 signatures from a Green party email list would be easy as they have over 100,000 members.

But, councils are not allowed to influence petitions. But a political party may be able to..  because what about labour paying for Tracy Brabin's West Yorkshire Mayor adverts in Youtube?

Unless the party itself is not classed as a local council. In which case if a third party or private person wants to sponsor or promote a petition.. then the Green party should not deny access to their email distribution.

If its a cause that one of their own members and a Green Councillor supports and created. As long as a local council doest influence the people. But national email is not local council. Yet we can all petition Historic England
