A painting of Castle Hill claiming to be from Bradford Road, 1837, by G.D. Tomlinson is in error

The drawing reads:

I believe i read and mentioned in a previous video that Tomlinson dies mysteriously in the process of the tower project unfolding.

From my own opinion I believe the drawing is either NOT the claimed site, and in fact is a different site, or it is not a view from Bradford road. Because from the approach of Bradford road the hills diagonall is the other direction, therefore either the location is incorrect or the site is not as claimed.

If i remember correctly, Tomlinson passed away in strange circumstances. If the Tower project company were desperate to get the go-ahead for the Jubilee tower.. they might want to have the hill itself appear uninteresting from regular view and visitors and mundane. And also in light of other evidence in this investigation, to further add misinformation & confusion to the surrounding history & public memory.

Also, even going back in time before as much industrial development had gone ahead, the landscape details do not match and the roads, river.. from this direction. It could well be from a different location, but even from Dalton bank, or Nab hill it is still the wrong angle. This angle is more fitting to Beaumont park. but if it was Beaumont park the front of the hill at the far side would be tapering into the field, not with a steep gradient. Another angle suggests Lepton as the correct angle. I went to a few locations that are approximately correct if this was the position, but its not fitting & not correct unless drawn and sketched roughly and details filled from memory in error, later. Also the drawing would feature the Brig house / Warrior mound (Roundwood) which it does not show. So generally I believe its an intended mistake.

Therefore this drawing is misleading.

* Oh, one more thing to add.. the making of a ridge at each end of the mound makes it appear un like a long barrow form shape. which is what my main investigations have tended to believe in fact it is. not unlike the bycocket hat form shape of Robin Hood era
