Kimberly-Clark who own and make Huggies nappies are moving production from Sydney, Australia to Asia by July 2019. Huggies is a choice for parents who want to pay a bit more money for a high quality nappy. Quality is helped by knowing that Australia has stronger regulations, monitoring and intervention than other countries when it comes to safety of products, safety and cleanliness of manufacturing facilities and working conditions for staff. Nappies are a product that makes direct contact with the most sensitive areas of a baby, as a parent I want the choice to buy a nappy I know is made in Australia.

Kimberly-Clark need to reverse this decision and keep the making of Huggies nappies on Australian soil.

They should instead be focusing their attention on developing a new innovation and extra choice for parents- a locally manufactured, just as absorbent, 100% biodegradable nappy.
