I am happy to announce that an American attorney has volunteered to provide support for our campaign!

Aaron Mollin is a New York-qualified lawyer, specializing in Intellectual
Property and Entertainment law. A fluent Japanese speaker with nearly a decade of
experience in Japan, he currently lives and works in Tokyo. Aaron's desire to
share Japanese culture with the world inspired him to develop a sustainable,
ethical clothing brand called Ichijiku, which repurposes vintage kimonos and
turns them into modern accessories. His legal expertise and sincere appreciation
of kimonos made him a perfect fit for the campaign.

Aaron is attempting to contact Ms. Kardashian's attorneys (who have up to
this point completely ignored our calls and emails), to demand they withdraw
all kimono-related trademark registrations. In the meantime, we want to make
sure we take every precaution necessary to prevent kimonos from being
appropriated.

In order to safeguard kimonos in the short term, Aaron is revising the Letters of Protest (LoPs) that our volunteer made. These letters will be promptly submitted if Ms. Kardashian’s lawyers ignore or refuse to withdraw the trademark registrations.

More importantly, however, is that Aaron and I share the same goal opinion: Reaching an amicable resolution that secures recognition and protection of the kimono as a Japanese cultural symbol, while at the same time providing Ms. Kardashian an opportunity to use her fame and influence to promote traditional kimono culture. In other words, we would like to encourage Ms. Kardashian to adopt a role as an advocate—as opposed to enemy—of Japanese culture.

Thank you very much for your continued support, and your love and
appreciation for the beautiful symbol that is the kimono.
We also welcome feedback from anyone with expertise in this particular subject matter.
