Our phone call was rescheduled for the week of June 17th. In his email to me Mr. McIntyre said that he would not discuss the prohibition of companion animals from Kijiji, but just wanted to explain to me why Kijiji will not remove its pets section. While I'm disappointed that the call was postponed, I'm still very encouraged that after just a couple thousand signatures, he has agreed to speak openly. My goal is to get tens of thousands of people signing the petition and at the rate the petition is going I'm confident we will get there! Craigslist removed their pet sales section after public pressure, and I believe that together we can convince Kijiji that this is the right thing to do.
