Kijiji listing pet fees and ads promotion can be paid using a credit card like Mastercard. Therefore, I am asking Mrs. Linda Kirkpatrick, President of North America for Mastercard to join us in convincing Kijiji to review pets ads BEFORE they go live. A request I deeply hope Mastercard will want to support, considering Mastercard's partnership with Conservation International to protect wildlife through Mastercard® Wildlife Impact payment cards.

On April 17, 2023, the Ontario Court convicted three individuals for capturing or taking, selling on the classified site Kijiji, and buying a living member of a Species at Risk in Ontario, violating the Endangered Species Act.

On July 12, 2023, the Ontario Court convicted an individual for offering to sell a living member of a Species at Risk in Ontario on two occasions on Kijiji, violating the Endangered Species Act.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

In its attempt to weed out illegal material, Mastercard implemented a policy that severely restricted adult content websites in 2021. Can Mastercard take a stand to protect animals, too?
