The petition for Kijiji to stop all pet sales has over 400,000 signatures. Puppy mills and unethical breeders may continue to exist even if Kijiji Canada stops the sale of animals on its site, but at least Kijiji would not give them an easy platform to thrive on.

Change.org noted that, at 500,000 signatures, it will become one of the top signed petitions on the site.
