Calling all Quebecers! Animals should not be sold as movable property

WHEREAS animals are not property and are sentient beings with biological imperatives, animals should not be sold as movable property via online classified sites.

Article 898.1 of the Civil Code of Quebec defines animals as sentient beings with biological imperatives. Animals should not be sold as movable property through classified ads. Yet classified advertising sites in Quebec continue to post animals for sale as movable property.
