On March 15th, 2019, a devastating massacre happened to an Islamic community here in Christchurch, NZ.  In the aftermath, a heartbroken New Zealand responded immediately and generously in hope that we could at minimum, alleviate the financial burdens for this suffering community while they mourn their loved ones.

Thousands of individuals from all over the country generously donated to a ‘Give a Little’ page set up by Victim Support to raise money to directly help these victims. Millions of dollars were raised yet over 6 weeks later, the majority of it is being hoarded for no apparent reason by Victim Support with very little communication with those affected! Instead they are being forced to suffer further because money isn't being released when there is critical and immediate need for many.

Because this is the case, why isn't an investigation being held? Why are some of these victims being forced to work despite devastating cases of PTSD, and why is the majority of the money not filtering down to people who need it? Do they really have to beg for what is rightfully theirs? What good is holding it for long term assistance when right now is critical? Those that donated gave believing it was to directly help immediately!

I believe Victim Support need to be held to account, and forced to stop hiding behind closed doors with finally being made to provide some transparent reporting. 

These people need funds NOW.
