This is a petition to get the Court to drop all charges against Rachelle and Not take the animals she has in her possession away and to NOT keep her from having animals. This is also to keep animal control out of her home. Rachelle is not guilty of anything other than Having too big of a heart this is not a Felony Charge. We know this is LONG bare with us this STORY needs to be TOLD. They are trying to make an example out of her for things she has not even done. The unfair justice system is being just that..Completely unfair, unjust and plain bullies.

Since Rachelle was a little girl she always was trying to save animals. As Rachelle got older and muddled through life she experienced a lot of heartache and pain..She was in extremely abusive realationships and was raped while in army training . Something she didn’t call and report till years later because of the fear of being judged and not believed. Alot of the pain in her life was kept a secret for a long time. Because of all of this and much more Rachelle acquired Depression, anxiety and ptsd. Animals were peace for that.  They don’t hurt her..they don’t leave her but give her unconditional love. Animals helped her get up every day even though she didn’t want to and fight through the pain in her heart and her body. Because of her big heart and her sons heart Rachelle had a hard time saying No to sick animals or those that needed homes. For instance a cat that needed bottle feeding who she Named Sky that used to ride on her shoulders. She fed every 2 hours to start as he was a tiny little guy. She even worked in the shelter and fostered kittens there...they didn’t think they would make it..But they did! There were kittens she called the trio ( each had their own names of course)  that were sick that she took from a lady who did not know how to take care of them. Rachelle restored their health as well as taught the girl (Kara) to be more loving. There was a cat she named Miracle that was soaking wet when she found her. She named her Miracle because she survived the Pneumonia that she came with. She was taken to the vet given meds and told to make a chamber for Breathing treatments. She was fighting to get well back and forth, was on her way to getting better when all this happened. There was a dog named Gereonimo that was loosing hair. She took him to the vet to make sure it wasn’t mites and then helped the hair grow back with good nutrition. There is a dog she has had for 13 years  another two for 7 and one for 5 . There were dogs she took out of the shelter that were mean and untrusting. One they Named Atlas used to try and attack her whenever she got close to her son. That dog soon learned that he was in a loving home, and was safe ( wonder what he felt when they took him back to the shelter) and when she got Gypsy at 8 weeks who bonded to Atlas and he ended up raising her. It brought out the love in him. The dog Chance who looked exactly like a dog she had for 15 years that had just passed...but was also on the mean side. He was also taken out of the shelter. Especially when it came to having his hair cut. Rachelle would cut his hair in the bathtub with the water running so he didn’t attack her until she could gain his trust in order to get him to a groomer. Which she was in the process of doing.  These are just some of the stories of animals that she has saved. Anytime one of her furbabies were sick they got care either she learned how to do over the years or they were taken to the vet. They never did without food , water or love. She was in the process of filing paperwork to start a rescue when all of this happened. Was going to be Calle Havens Animal Rescue and Sanctuary. The rescue was going to be named after a cat she took out of the kill shelter she named Haven that would pass a month later from kindney failure. This cat had been brought to the kill shelter to pass on its own after 13 years. Rachelle held her hand as she went to the otherside, she did not pass alone. There was a rat that she had she just learned that his teeth did not grind down like others and had to be trimmed. She had just got enough money to take him to the vet to have him looked at and also was in the process of getting a bigger rabbit hutch when all this happened.  Rachelle is not an animal abuser but quite the opposite. She is human though, and was doing it on her own. She will say that she did get in a bit too deep because she had a huge heart and wanted to save these previously abused animals and ones that were sick. ITs in her nature to want to help all living things especially our furry ones. She was a bit behind because She had reinjuried her ankle that she had two surgeries on previously the same day that the man who raised her, her grandpa passed away. She also was just getting over knee surgery. The guy that usually helped her take the bags of feces to the trash had other things to do and she couldn't reach him so she was in the process of finding more help. She was in the process of Working on everything she had gotten behind on. She had talked to her counselour about new ways to manage time and so days were set to clean cages and to Get her Carpet torn out which was old when she got it and she had just shampooed it but the shampooer was not working right and did not pick up all the water. Anyone with cats know that they will kick out their litter and its hard to keep a litter box cleaned. There was so much Rachelle was working on and if they had just asked her they may have known that. Instead they are painting Rachelle as an animal abuser. Animal Control was called and told lies to get them there. They left a notice on her door. Later that day around 4pm Rachelle called the officer back they set a time for that Friday April 13, 2018. Rachelle who was already in the midst of getting caught up and had been up all night cleaning because she was behind, but not finished. Kept working till 6am. Next day she needed to go get some Vinegar to clean the rat cages, those of you who have rats know that the cages can get dirty very quickly especially if there are multiple rats. Rachelle had multiple rats at first because the ones she took out of the feed store were pregnant. She had rehomed some but had not been able to rehome all yet. Insted this officer came back with a Warrant while Rachelle was gone based on an Annomyous phone call ( who we now know to be family who Rachelle didn’t get along with)  Speaking lies to get the animal control officers back there before friday. None of what was stated in the phone call was ever proven to be true. Rachelle was not holding cats in tubs the reason for the tub with holes in it was for Miracle the one with Pneumonia the vet had instructed her to do so. She was not moving animals and if she was isn’t that complying? However there was no Proof of that. She was in the process of messaging a friend to get things hauled off and was getting the vinigar to clean the cages when she got back . Because it was cage cleaning day. That is what Thursday had become. Yet here come animal control barging in..Scaring the cats..the dogs...all the animals..Chasing them around to take them to a Kill shelter. Even Needed Rachelle to help one get into a truck because it refused to ..she was scared to death. All the lady had to do was come the next day in order to talk to Rachelle about what needed to be done and what Rachelle was already in the process of doing. As u know by law Rachelle was allowed at Least 48 hours but usually more time is given. She was never given that and her animals were not in bad shape. ALl were Healthy!! Except for a few with Respiratory issues who were on Antibiotics. She asked to keep her Service Dog Belle that her sister had given to her for that Reason who had come a long way and sat on a plane in restaurants and walked through stores with Rachelle. They are not supposed to take ur service dog unless shes starving or in bad condition. Belle was in great condition yet they took her and would not allow her to go to her moms instead. Rachelle has Prescriptions for service and emotional support animals from her dr as well as her Son. Yes cages were dirty but that is what she was doing that day. Cleaning Cages. Rachelle Realises now that she had gotten in a bit over her head but was doing the best she could. So was all this for the benefit of the animals? to take them out of a LOVING CARING home where they had FOOD..Water..and everything they needed to a Kill shelter where the murderers are getting away with killing over 1300 animals and yet have room for 10,000? How are they not being charged? If Rachelle is bring brought up on charges so should they..How is murdering that many dogs Legal? While her animals were in their care, she told them hey..this is wrong with the rat he was going to the vet..this Cat miracle needs antibiotics right away. Don’t worry the vet will look at them. Well The Shelter they are supposed to be safe right? They lost Rats. They had them make over 80 babies while in their care because they mixed female and males. The Rabbits had no water when Rachelle visited. Their cages were not as they needed to be the bottoms weren’t covered so that the rats feet were protected..The cat Miracle ended up in the severe sick bay. There is proof that this shelter also falsified documents getting money for neutering when a dog is already neutered or fixed.  The dogs that were given back. Her 13 year old came back from the shelter extremely sick. She had a nasal infection . Rachelle was not told nor was that dog given any care what so ever. And you call this a shelter. And they are safer there? The one lady who helped take care of the animals said that her dogs and cats and rats were all awesome and loving...Thats Because Rachelle took the time and effort to make them that way. Nick the leader of this place that kills animals Had told Rachelle She lived on a quarter acre he had looked into it and that she did NOT have a LIMIT on ANimals. He also refused to give her back her service dog. Rachelles heart has been broken into a million pieces. Every night she cries over the animals she lost. Some she had for up to 5 years that she never got back. Funny how this didn’t happen till after her Grandpa passed and others were in control of the estate. Animal control Could have handled this differently this was not like a normal case of abuse or neglect or even hoarding. These animals were treated like family. They were given food..love..water and care. They were all bonded and there are many pictures that can attest to that. All that had to happen was the animal control officer who has been caught LYING on the stand over 3 times. She has had a different story every time shes been questioned..Stated that the house was so bad yet there are pictures to show a clean kitchen. Was it completey clean yet no, but Rachelle was working on it and BY LAW she should have been given time. How is taking animals from a good home to a kill shelter justice? Where they can get away with murder? How are people who are starving , beating and burning animals getting less time. Why should Rachelle be kept from having animals that she can handle as long as things are kept clean and the animals are treated with love. There is no abuse here. Shes not even being allowed in the Veterans court when she spent 6 years of her life in the ARNG for this country. She has stayed up all night with some of these animals and nursed them back to health. She has given love and attention..Her son was never neglected either. He was given all he needed. Her house has since then had the carpet removed and she does not have all the caged animals that she did that were hard to keep up with. Shes striving to be better..She should not have animals taken from her as we need more people like her that love and care for them. Her dogs not kept in crates only when she wasn’t home, to eat or if needbe. Otherwise they were out like a family. They were all happy. She had a cat that she just got that was causing some issues but she was in the process of rehoming her. Rachelle Is a lover..a nurturer..Not an abuser. Why isn’t the state spending the money and time going after those that starve..mame or murder the animals. Rachelle is innocent who has been taken by this ass backwards injustice system and her and her animals have paid the price. WHo knows where they are know..if they are alive and well..or if the shelter ultimately decided they needed to put them to sleep. Who knows if they are with a real abuser.. We know this is long but the whole story needed to be told. Rachelle loves animals and any time one is hurt or in pain she can’t help but have her heart break. She Hates to see these REAL abusers walk free. The ones that actually hurt animals. She has been painted as a criminal that she is not. Her rights were also taken away as there was not enough probable cause they came in on an annomyous call and she was complying. She was also not given Time which by law which is supposed to be!  There was no need for the animals to have to have gone through this pain. The report from the Vet states they were all in GOOD condition..So how is that abuse. Besides the few little things explained above. Please sign this ..>Animals are one of Rachelles biggest reasons for living..Them, her son and her mom is all she truly has. Please don’t take the ones that are with her now away, she has learned her lesson by getting those she loved stripped from her care. She does not have over the amount that she can handle. Please get this case dropped. Please sign to save lives. Rachelle likes to be surrounded by more animals than most..But there are people all over the world with 10 dogs..10 cats..or more..some with 15 dogs..and some with over 70 animals on u tube..they aren’t under a microscope...Let Rachelle live in peace with her fur family. They have all been through enough.
