Make Personally Inapplicable Student Fees Electable at Kennesaw State University

Our political action group wants to do away with the unnecessary payment of obligatory fees for unused student services at Kennesaw State University. Many students are burdened financially by a number of personally inapplicable and unused fees that they are required by Kennesaw State to pay. Students would naturally prefer not to pay fees for services and/or utilities that they never or rarely use. For example, students who do not use the KSU Recreation Center should have the option to abstain from paying the semesterly fee. Therefore, our political action group is fighting to institute a student payment plan at Kennesaw State University that allows the students to consciously decide and select which fees to pay or not pay based on their personal needs and/or wants. Ultimately, this would benefit the student body by lowering the amount of money that students owe, by shifting fees to being strictly only need or want based by cutting out the fees for unused services. As a result of implementing this plan, students would be less financially-stressed and would be able to focus on the education that they are earning rather than focusing on how to pay for it.
