The Trump administration has extended the comment period for its plans to take away endangered species protection from gray wolves in the lower 48 states. The new deadline is July 15.
We now have two more months to build massive opposition. We won’t stop until this plan is stopped for good.
Already our national wolf coalition has delivered the largest number of comments ever received by the federal government on an Endangered Species Act issue. This included 35,000 handwritten comments collected by Center for Biological Diversity volunteers across the country.
Last week, Oregon’s governor came out in support of the delisting plan. But after a massive outcry, she reversed course. The director of Washington’s Department of Fish and Wildlife still supports the plan.
The fight is on. We need everyone who cares about wolves to be a part of the resistance to Trump’s plan.
