Last week, I travelled down to Canberra and met Kelly O'Dwyer, our Revenue Minister. She said that this petition alerted her to this preposterous loophole and it was your signatures and comments that persuaded her to announce new legislation shortly after our meeting. This legislation will prevent evil predators like Van Ryn from hiding away their money in their superannuation to escape paying compensation to victims.
