Petition updatePetition to End the East Orange Grove Lane ReductionTHANK YOU Pasadena Residents
Keep Pasadena Moving
Aug 1, 2018
Thank you Pasadena residents. We’ve hit 500 online petitions. Can we reach 1000? Combined with the ground campaign for hand written petitions, we are well over 1200 signatures and rising each day. We need to continue to push the online petition. Please act now and share with your neighborhood associations, neighbors and friends/family who live in Pasadena. This not only effects residents of east Pasadena, but all Pasadena residents because the department of transportation (DOT) wants greater than 30 lane - reductions in the City. Have you been to the westside of Los Angeles? Well, that’s what Pasadena will become if we don’t take action. Here’s some facts: Orange Grove is one of the safest streets in Pasadena according to the City’s DOT; It’s at the intersections where collisions occur and reducing speed or lanes will not change that fact. Fact 2: Latest data is telling us that Vision Zero (lane reductions) increases accidents, creates more traffic and more greenhouse gases. It’s interesting how the pro-cyclists who are so concerned about the environment turns their back on that fact. Fact 3: Pasadena DOT says there is so little data on commuter cyclist, there’s no quantifiable numbers to use for their statistics. So why on earth spend millions of our tax payer dollars for a non-existent group, here’s why and we are learning more and more every day. This agenda is being pushed down to garner states funds, your tax dollars, while the city is running out of money and there is no regard how this will negatively impact the safety and quality of life of our beautiful city of Pasadena. ACT NOW: Share the online petition Write your City leaders Get a yard sign for solidarity and donate. We are a grassroots volunteer group so any help will help us fight the city.
