Hi there! It is very ambitious but this petition is now aiming to get half of all students at the University of Derby to sign this petition before August 2025, which is roughly 10,000 signatures.

Please help us get to this goal by sharing this around even more, even if its sharing it to the same groupchat twice, I would not be asking if it wasn't necessary. I encourage everyone who has already signed to please tell others to share this to fellow students so we can create a snowball effect.

I have been in contact with the university to ask how many signatures we need to prevent the buses being paid they have responded "the university has made its decision regarding the Unibus changes, and we are now focused on supporting its effective implementation"

But they made this decision without us! As students we really need to pull together right now to show that we aren't just going to sit back and let the university make any change it wants without consulting us, espescially changes that affect us as students so directly. So as stated please encourage as many people as possible to share this petition to prevent this change from happening in August. (see advice below)

also here are some suggestions of groups to share this petition with if you are struggling for ideas: your course cohort, your house/flatmates, any society group chats you may be in, any accomodation group chats or putting the link up on your story. As mentioned earlier even if the link has gone in a group chat once before if it is a big group it's unlikely everyone signed/ saw it so please share there again and the key is to ask people to share it to others)
