Please watch this video to see what the road under Rough Crag looks like and why United Utilities believe it is too dangerous to use. Please note that the only time a tree fell off Rough Crag bringing down a few bits of rock in its roots was during one of the most severe storm events to hit The Lake District in decades.  No one would dream of travelling under the crag during such weather events.  But in the last 20 months since that storm, nothing further has fallen off Rough Crag.
