Had a response

I’ve had an email back from the council. Apparently cabinet meetings were held in August 2021 and March of this year. They decided the Kirby Close subway wasn’t wide enough to accommodate both cyclists and pedestrians, with an increasing maintenance cost to the council. It appears the decommissioning of this underpass will continue. I can only pray for once last ounce of decency to pedestrians on the spectrum like me who feel incredibly anxious having to level cross a dual carriageway. But with great sadness I feel it’s just too little, too late. If only I’d known months ago, I could of made more of a difference.
