Hi OG Friends and Neighbors,

I wanted to share an update, as we now have 147 Signatures to keep the Farmers' Market in Old Greenwich! Thank you! Let's get this to 200 signatures and see if we can convince our First Selectmen, Fred Camillo, Board of Select"women" (Lauren Rabin and Rachel Khanna) , and the  Civic Center to step in and save our OG Market this Summer. Please share your comments and endorsements, below, so the selectmen can see them now to escalate this issue, and for potential discussion at the June 11th meeting at the Town of Greenwich.

I have also asked Patrick LaRow to discuss this issue at the June 9th Planning and Zoning meeting. All comments must be submitted by 4pm the day prior to town meetings to be considered at the meetings.  You are also welcome to submit your comments to our selectman yourself, directly via the Town of Greenwich website.

There is still HOPE we can keep our market in OG. Keep voicing your concerns to our local government. For example, the hills needed to climb to get to Riverside, the lack of shade or child play structures at the Riverside location, the traffic created by more cars, and how you and your children can not walk or bike to Riverside safely on hot Summer days, and the fact that we already have beautiful, professional signs that were created for OG Farmers' Market. Many of the long-time market volunteers live in OG and walk or bike to the market and don't want to have to travel even farther, etc... Thank you!
