I wanted to provide an update to everyone following the push to keep the name Casula Powerhouse.

I requested to speak at yesterdays council meeting to represent our community and the growing number of supporters behind this issue. Unfortunately, that request was declined.

The reason given was that the matter I intended to speak on is listed as a Question With Notice (Item Number : QWN 09), rather than an agenda item where a decision will be made.

However, every single line on the agenda is assigned an item number — including Questions With Notice. So it raises a fair question: why are some items open for public voice, while others are not?

It’s hard not to ask — is someone trying to silence us?

With hundreds of people already backing the petition, it’s clear this issue matters.

Being denied the opportunity to speak only strengthens the resolve to keep pushing forward.

I will continue to seek every opportunity to have our voices heard.
