A busy week for the mighty Clarence as plans for all sorts of big ideas that just don't match the site are thrown around & our new/same gov shows no regard for life or enviromental regulation, doesn't want anything to slow down destruction of our countries natural assets. It's not personal, its about money. This only increases our duty to protect our river. Money cannot buy what we have. Its prescious but not forever if its mismanaged. The destruction of the forest continues and images from nearby Pickapene , now waste and the disregard for Lionsvilles significance, the rarity of its flora and fauna is bulldozed into rubble. Communities from Ewingar all the way down to Yamba are alarmed at the potential harm to their way of life, natural features, survival and farms, industry. We are all in this together. It's been heart warming to see how many people do care, horrible to realize that they have not had consultation despite the consequences to them either. Over the hill, the Darling downs and new England have no water and have been told of plans to dam /pump the Clarence to them. Problem is, there's NO water and the toxic mining exp.liscences are still on the table for the same spots. The Cangi mine proposal is still a concern further down , below the gorge and these human inteferences have has ruined many a mighty river already, when will it stop?
