The future of squash in Willoughby
We'd like to invite you to join the Willoughby Squash and Racquets Club Inc. (WSRC) and be part of the future of squash and racquet sports in Willoughby.
A familiar local squash community
WSRC has been established by people you already know from the local squash community, including Pete, the former owner of Willoughby Squash, Leigh, who has coached many local players, and Jack, who has been closely involved in the effort to keep squash in Willoughby. Along with other members of the local squash community, we are working to keep the community connected and help create a future for squash and racquet sports in the area.
Working towards a future
We're currently working with Willoughby City Council and other stakeholders to explore options for both interim and longer-term facilities, including 52 Fullers Road in Chatswood, near Chatswood High School, the site of a former tennis facility that is being explored as one possible location for squash and racquet sports.
Thank you for being part of WSRC
As a WSRC member, you're already helping us demonstrate the strength of the local squash community and support our efforts to secure a future for squash in Willoughby. The more members we have, the stronger our voice when advocating for the future of squash in Willoughby. Thank you for your support — we hope to see you at the Club Championships on 10 October!
Club Championships – Saturday 10 October
We're also excited to invite WSRC members to our first Club Championships, being held at Thornleigh Squash Club on Saturday 10 October. There will be three guaranteed matches for every player, followed by our first WSRC Annual General Meeting, with food and drinks and an opportunity to catch up with the local squash community. The Club Championships are member-only, so joining WSRC is your chance to get back on court and be part of the day.
Get involved
WSRC is a community club, and we'd love to see members get involved in whatever way they can — helping with events, communications, fundraising, community activities or simply lending a hand when needed.
The first AGM will also provide an opportunity for members to nominate for positions on the WSRC Committee. If you'd like to play a more active role in shaping the future of squash in Willoughby, we'd love to hear from you.
Supporting WSRC
If you'd like to provide additional support, tax-deductible donations can also be made through the Australian Sports Foundation

If you have any questions about membership, the Club Championships or WSRC generally, please contact us at info@wsrc.org.au.
Thank you for your continued support of squash in Willoughby. We hope you'll join WSRC, get back on court for the Club Championships, and be part of the next chapter of squash in our community.
Best wishes,
The WSRC Committee
