We have hit the 700 signature mark this morning!

I can NOT thank everyone enough who has made this campaign such a success over the last few weeks. Every share, and donation, and bit of attention has been so important, and while it may feel like we aren't making any progress, we DEFINITELY are!

Within one week, we had shot up to 300 signatures in just a few days, and Mayor Smiley made a statement about the possibility of opening up block parties again, but since then, nothing.

As our signatures slow down, so will the pressure on him to do anything, and we can not allow that to happen. We can not allow an out of stater to come here and dismantle this festival we love so much. We can not allow another politician to make changes that do not reflect the wants and needs of his city and people. We can not allow the very soul of our city be taken away from us. 

So we must continue to fight!
We are asking everyone who sees this to share the petition again on all of your social feeds, we are asking you to comment on the petition changes that you would like to see Mayor Smiley make in Providence instead of the changes to PVDFest. We are asking you to donate if you are financially able to, as it helps spread the petition incredibly far to new eyes. We are asking you to stand in solidarity with us, and continue the social fight against Mayor Smiley!

Lets try and get to 1000, that's the next goal of the petition, once we are there, Change.org will boost it even more!

Once we have collected enough change proposals in the comments, I will hand deliver them to Mayor Smileys office. 

Also updates on boycotts, and further ideas are being discussed to help the small businesses that will be effected by his changes.
