Dear Signers,

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the overwhelming support you showed for Principal Moore over the past 24 hours. Your response was a powerful testament to the kind of leader he is and the community he has built at East Whittier Middle School.

We have spoken directly with Mr. Moore, and out of deep respect for his wishes, we are pausing this petition effective immediately.

Mr. Moore has assured us the decision was his, and has asked us to stand down, and we will honor that — because respecting him means respecting his wishes, even when it is hard.

What this community showed in such a short time was extraordinary. The love, the loyalty, and the willingness to show up for someone who has always shown up for our kids — that is who we are. And that is something no one can take away.
