July 21 SCBWA Meeting Update - Action Requested

PA Coalition for Oral HealthPA, États-Unis

You know by now that the State College Borough Water Authority voted 6- 0 at their July 21 board meeting to initiate the process required by the Department of Environmental Protection to amend their operating permit so that they are no longer required to provide optimally fluoridated water to their customers.

They voted to remove fluoride, despite your pleas to continue the decades-long public health practice that has benefitted our community. Not a single local voice spoke in opposition to fluoridation.

The Centre Daily Times has published several opinion pieces criticizing the decision, as well as a letter from SCBWA defending their action.

This article on StateCollege.com has a public poll on the decision. https://www.statecollege.com/scbwa-board-decision-to-remove-fluoride-came-after-significant-study-by-members/

The question reads, "Do you agree with State College Borough Water Authority's decision to remove fluoride from the water supply?"

Please take a moment to vote "No" and share with your networks.
