The last update was really the victory one... This has been a learning process for many of us...some lessons... Facts and data rule. We were vulnerable in some areas because the statistics hadn't been properly recorded. Be aggressive but not abusive. Firm constructive fact-based arguments get you a long way with Government. Leave your cutting sarcastic wit in its box. Understand how government works. Identify the core issue and run with it - leave the red herrings alone...in this campaign, the core issue was that of ensuring that the current levels of service would be maintained under the new scheme: better is better, less is not... Be prepared for the long haul - I wasn't and once I was engaged, I couldn't walk away... Talk to every one... Understand the media, especially the social stuff... Don't take any of it personally... My biggest reward during this campaign was hearing from so many people whose lives had been touched by our rescue helicopters... Again...thank you all...
