We want to share with all supporters that, as of today, we have received no response from either Ms. Lori Ann or Ms. Elaine Howard regarding our concerns. Despite multiple attempts to reach out, they have not returned our calls or agreed to meet.

We want to make it clear:

👉 Ms. Van Epps deeply wishes to continue in her role with the Sharyland High School Band.

👉 The parents, students, and band members overwhelmingly support her.

This decision to remove or reassign her is not only unjustified, but also feels careless and dismissive of the people who are most impacted. We believe this is a deeply unthoughtful move that disregards the positive impact Ms. Van Epps has had on our students and the entire band program.

We strongly believe that decisions affecting our children and their educators should not be made behind closed doors or without input from the community. This is not a dictatorship — this is a public school system funded by our tax dollars, and we have the right to be heard, respected, and included in these decisions.

If you can contact Ms. Lori Ann or Ms. Elaine Howard, we respectfully ask that you share our concerns and urge them to reconsider this decision.
