If you want to protect Linden Hills Small Town Vibe, please ask one person you know to sign this petition TODAY. Yesterday we took a hit, and we need to swing back.
On January 3rd at City Hall, the Business, Inspection, Housing, and Zoning committee DENIED both appeals against the building proposal of 43rd and Upton, completely disregarding the 2013 Linden Hills Small Area Plan.
Despite being presented with over 800 signatures, hearing some of your quotes read verbatim along with the words of compelling speakers who presented, the committee has allowed the developer, Mr. John Gross, to continue with this office building proposal.
So what is next? This is not the end. It's time to double down with the amount of opposition to this project prior to the official city council vote on the project. Let's send a message to the City Council and Mr. Gross that forcing out the Zumbro Cafe, a proven economic asset to the area is unacceptable and his office building does not fit into the Linden Hills community needs.
