Update- Keep Lighthouse Food Pantry Open and in the Community

Hello Petition Supporters,

My name is Grace with the Change.org Civic Engagement Team. Congratulations on the momentum you are building on the topic of keeping Lighthouse Food Pantry open and in the community. Having 759 people come together to advocate is a big milestone.

When momentum builds on a petition, our team reaches out to the local leaders who have the power to act on the issue. We help make sure they are aware of the growing support and encourage them to share a response directly to you about where things stand, actions they have or will take, and how the community can get involved in the decision making process.

Through outreach we learned key information that will inform the decision making process and supporter mobilization.

The office of Council Member Anthony Tordillos shared that they are working closely with the Housing Department and its director to help Lighthouse continue operations and meet code requirements to bring Lighthouse into compliance. The office recognized that Lighthouse provides important and specialized services and is a very important resource for the community. Supporters can stay up to date on any news through Council Member Tordillos's social media posts and newsletter.
