We need your help ASAP

People ask all of the time 'how can I help?’ A few weeks ago a few members of our group presented an advisory vote to be added to the November ballot in Fremont County. The possibility of this vote being added has the environmentalists up in arms and they are lambasting the Fremont County Commissioners. Here is how you can help. We are asking you to take a few minutes and contact the commissioners to show your support for them in the fight against the wildlife overpasses. We are encouraging this kind of dialogue; they are points that support an advisory initiative. It does not matter whether people are a resident or landowner: *An environmental concern about destroying Targhee Pass or impacting the wetlands or an environmentally sensitive landscape *Or make an important point about being a user and supporting IP’s economy *Tell them that you agree with their strong stand opposing wildlife overpasses and fencing in Island Park. *Tell them that you support the local solution for mitigation, road improvements, being referred to as 'the community solution’ that they have requested from both the ITD and the FHWA. *The commissioners need to hear that you agree with them that federal and state agencies need to coordinate with Fremont County on all federal policy and action directed at or within our jurisdiction. *Also, please express that you agree with the request for, and support the request for, a ballot initiative, so our jurisdiction has the opportunity to record our voice and the power of a ballot measure result to stand on.
