So it looks like we’ve got a stay of execution on the car park charges for now after Cllrs voted against a big chunk of the proposals.

It’s welcome, but let’s not kid ourselves, 
It isn’t over. 
It’s only been deferred & will probably come back in another form. 

We need to keep the pressure up.

I’ve said from the start there are better ways of doing this. If CC say they have to raise money from these sites, then look at alternatives like donation boxes & QR codes, give people the option to contribute instead of forcing blanket charges on residents & visitors.

We can’t let this quietly resurface once attention drops.

This pause only happened because people pushed back.
