A big thankyou to all of you who have signed to date and have promoted this important petition for Byron Bay and the whole shire.

I do ask if you can all think about one or two more people who would sign and support our petition it would easily help double the signatures and how the Change.org algorithm works, the petition gets circulated ever further afield and helps gain petition external support so please consider sharing again to friends, colleagues and family.

The petition had very minor tweaks just this morning to take in SEP issues more broadly than only road safety at the request of Tim McGuigan and his partner Brook Crowle so thanks for helping there and getting on board for this important campaign in a united team.

The Echo reached out just today, and Aslan Shand has committed to promote the story and our petition via an article in next week's Echo which is great news. 

I have reached out just now to The Northern Star to see if they would like to do the same. I will endeavor to reach out to local ABC again to get support and airtime there too. If you can take the time to share the link to Facebook friends, it would be very much appreciated.

I met yesterday with the Infrastructure Manager at Council and the Road Safety Officer and clearly explained the road safety risks of serving more alcohol at extra venues after 12am. This was similarly explained when I spoke at Council's Planning meeting on 14th August. The Council Exec Officers, Councilors and Mayor were all present and I hope they now better understand our Roads Safety concerns after that 3 minute talk.
