Petition updateKeep Asker Meadows for Nature & Recreation - Not CarsFinal Post - Application Officially Withdrawn
Friends of Asker Meadows
Jun 22, 2016
I know it seems a bit boring to have a letter as the final image of this campaign, but it shows that the council has now officially withdrawn the application for parking in Asker Meadows. So this will be the last post here. 'Victory' is ours, but we wish that we hadn't had to have this confllict in the first place, and the time, stress, and effort that has gone into opposing this absurd application. Thanks again to all of you for playing your part, large or small. Although this will be the last post here, nearly 400 of you have kindly left your email addresses as being interested in future updates about the Meadows. The council has said it's keen for us, as new Friends of Asker Meadows to have involvement and representation in future plans for the reserve, and we'll be following this up with them. So we'll be back in touch when we know what form this will take. If you didn't leave your email and would like updates, please send an email to askerfriend@gmail.com with 'subscribe' in the header. If you did leave it, but would prefer not to have updates, please let us know ('unsubscribe', funnily enough) and we'll take you off the list. So we can get back to enjoying the Meadows free from the worry that they will lose their purpose of a being green space reserved for nature and recreation, Best wishes Ged, Wendy, Toni and Rich for Friends of Asker Meadows PS. The AGM of the Asker Meadows Steering Group is at 6pm at the Town Hall, Bridport, next Wednesday 29th if anyone is interested in attending.
