Hello everyone! 
I woke up this morning to an email that we reached 1,000 signatures!! There are no words to adequately express how grateful I am to all of you. 
After I took Eli to ABA today, I was able to attend mobile office hours for Representative Mark Mesmer at Sullivan library. I spoke with his field agent, Anthony. 
He explained that his office is federal, while this issue is state level. He did take all of the information for his office, and helped me to find more contacts and details. Thankfully he also helped me better understand state government, which I am terrible at understanding. 
Like I told him, I am in no way an expert on politics, but I am an expert on my kid. Our understandings combined can hopefully make a difference. That is why I am so thankful for all of you, lending your voices to this issue.
