After looking at the proposed new logo, I've come to the conclusion that it doesn't represent us & it doesn't represent Keele. It's taking away from our history & heritage as well as our distinctiveness as a university, which provides a unique learning experience. The absence of red is a major issue to a lot of Keele students as well as it making Keele look like something it isn't. The blue & gold makes it look cold, dull & depressing.

I'm very disappointed that the university is wasting public money in changing the logo & doing so without student consultation & student input during the logo design. It's our university & we should have a say in our logo as it has to represent the university as well as us.

1 week is not near enough to get student input for the logo design, so I believe the deadline should be extended as well as having student focus groups & wider student engagement around the logo change. This is a significant change & we deserve to have a say on it.

I'm calling on Keele University to rethink their decision to abandon the current Keele Logo & to have wider student engagement in the new logo proposal. At this point of time, we as a student body at Keele, reject the new Keele Logo proposal due to wastage of public money & the inadequate design & representation of Keele University. We call for the retention of the current Keele Logo.
