Honorable Board Members:

We the undersigned residents of the Duarte community, hereby request that you DO NOT close any schools that are part of the Duarte Unified School District.

A decision to close a school would have a negative impact on our children and local neighborhood, by creating dangerous conditions for our children trying to reach the schools, i.e.  crossing major heavily congested streets or crossings of train tracks and encountering homeless which are now in the pathways of our children trying to access their schools safely. School closure  will also result  in larger class sizes and would not be beneficial to the learning of our children.

By closing any school, you will create an increase of traffic at school sites, this situation will create a dangerous environment for our children, school staff and families.

The closures of any school will also impact our parks. Where would our kids play? Where would our seniors play?

By closing any school, you are letting the community/Duarte residents down. Those who once believed in you!!

If you truly believe in our children, and kids are first, then we are counting on you to vote against the closure of any school. SAVE OUR SCHOOLS AND PARKS!!! VOTE NO ON ANY SCHOOL CLOSURE!!!
