To the Legislative Assembly of Ontario:

1.      Whereas Ontario hydro bills have long caused confusion for Ontarians

2.      Whereas Ontario hydro bills bundle several costs under often misleading headings

3.      Whereas the Ontario Government has committed to operating in a transparent manner

4.      Whereas quasi-government entities like Hydro One and other electricity providers in the province have also committed to operating in an open and transparent manner

5.      Whereas the cost of hydro in the province of Ontario is the highest in the developed world

We the undersigned call on the Ontario Government to revise electricity billing so that each consumer bill provides an exact and accurate break down of all costs being charged to the consumer.
