As I said this morning on CBC Radio, the reason there were so many Americans on the petition, as opposed to Canadians, was that I didn't know enough Canadians yet. Suddenly, I feel like I know all of you. I knew what Wilderness Discovery meant to us, but I was flabbergasted by the passion that you've displayed in your comments. I read each and every one of them. Your stories and memories are the treasures that need to be preserved and created for our families. I feel the need to post a few of them on Facebook in the comments. I feel your voices can't be heard enough. I had the privilege of meeting with Matt Liddy this evening. He's a producer at CBS affiliate WCCO-TV 4 out of the Twin Cities. He's interested in covering this story, but he wanted to know if I had video footage from the resort. I do not. If you have some current video of Wilderness Discovery that you could share, you could try sending it to mcliddy@cbs.com. Point out that it's about the story from the guy (me) he met at Patrick's in St. Peter, MN. I have to tell you that I spent much of the day at the V.A. Medical Center in Minneapolis. Just administrative stuff. While there, I shared our tales with some of the staff. They sounded as determined as all of you to not let this closure occur. When I finally got home late tonight and checked our tally, I felt like I had walked into a surprise party. The signature count had doubled yet again. We're nearing an even larger goal that Change.org has set for us. You should be filled with pride. I certainly am. We won't accept this injustice. Continue to share and promote this petition until we win the fight for what is right! You're going to drive this all the way to Ottawa! Thank you! Merci beaucoup.
