As I said this morning on CBC Radio, the reason there were so many Americans on the petition, as opposed to Canadians, was that I didn't know enough Canadians yet. Suddenly, I feel like I know all of you. I knew what Wilderness Discovery meant to us, but I was flabbergasted by the passion that you've displayed in your comments. I read each and every one of them. Your stories and memories are the treasures that need to be preserved and created for our families. I feel the need to post a few of them on Facebook in the comments. I feel your voices can't be heard enough. I had the privilege of meeting with Matt Liddy this evening. He's a producer at CBS affiliate WCCO-TV 4 out of the Twin Cities. He's interested in covering this story, but he wanted to know if I had video footage from the resort. I do not. Point out that it's about the story from the guy (me) he met at Patrick's in St. Peter, MN. I have to tell you that I spent much of the day at the V.A. Medical Center in Minneapolis. Just administrative stuff. While there, I shared our tales with some of the staff. They sounded as determined as all of you to not let this closure occur. When I finally got home late tonight and checked our tally, I felt like I had walked into a surprise party.The signature count had doubled yet again. We're nearing an even larger goal that Change.org has set for us. You should be filled with pride. I certainly am. We won't accept this injustice.
