This will leave the disability community without a barrier-free, fully-accessible facility that has been in operation for more than 30 years. A grassroots group that has organized to stop the sale of the property has garnered over 28,000 signers on a petition at www.change.org/WildernessDiscovery demanding that this public asset not be liquidated. This petition was delivered to Premier Kathleen Wynne, MPP Bill Mauro, and MPP Michael Gravelle on June 15th in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Although they have been receiving these signatures via email since January, no action has been taken. Please help break the silence from government leaders and find out why they are unwilling to preserve this small parcel of land for disabled children, veterans, seniors, and their families.
