In late January, I started this petition to assure that Wilderness Discovery wouldn't be sold out from under disabled children, veterans, seniors, and families. On Monday June 15th, we seized the opportunity to deliver nearly 700 pages of your signatures to Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne, and MPPs Michael Gravelle and Bill Mauro in Thunder Bay. These signatures are the collection of your names that have also been forwarded to their email inboxes as our petition grew. As long as caring people are still signing it, they are still receiving them, so keep sharing this petition. So far, none of your elected officials have stopped the sale of the Crown Land, YOUR LAND. They continue to say that the land is not threatened "right now" or "at this time". That is unacceptable! If they can't pull this off, how can you trust them with the big stuff? If a new agreement is not in place by August 31st, YOUR LAND WILL BE OFFERED FOR PUBLIC SALE ON SEPTEMBER 1st. Your property must be permanently designated for WHEELCHAIRS, NOT MILLIONAIRES. We urge the Ontario Attorney General file a motion before a judge to FREEZE this public asset. Ontarians should not be in fear of losing their land during summer recess because the Legislative Assembly has refused to act. This issue needs reasonable time for a proper hearing. It would be very interesting to see if anyone would oppose such an action and what their motivation might be. Your message is clear.
