Oppose Warren Wildlife Gallery building parking lots in Bouldin and paying no prop taxes

This group of residents believes the following requests are reasonable and are seeking broader neighborhood support:
1. We don’t want a conditional use permit approved for the 1401 Bouldin property to allow for a cultural services land use.
2. We don’t want to see this property used as an event space for an owner that does not live on the property.
3. We don’t want a museum or gallery on the property, nor do we want any of the resulting visitors, traffic, new parking lots in place of family homes, and street parking issues in the heart of the Bouldin Creek neighborhood.
4. We oppose the possibility of this large tract of neighborhood property being designated tax exempt as it will not serve a public purpose. It is too early to tell whether or not this will happen, but the requested conditional use permit provides a pathway to this possibility.
This makes the October 10th (6:45pm at 700 Dawson Rd 78704) vote all the more important. Warren's people will be there and plan to present. They need to see the opposition and we need to vote in force.
In order to be able to vote on October 10th, you need to (1) make sure you are registered to vote with the BCNA as a Bouldin Resident by September 30th, and (2) be present at the October 10th meeting and vote in person. Those that attended the 9/11 meeting and signed in are automatically registered to vote. If you live in Bouldin Creek and would like to register to vote, email BCNA Treasurer Ronnie Dittmar (firstname.lastname@example.org) BY SEPTEMBER 30TH with your name and address and tell him you would like to vote on 10/10. If you do not register to vote by the end of this month, you are ineligible to vote at this next meeting. We recommend printing out a copy of the registration email and bringing it with you to avoid any confusion.
We would love to have your support. Without it, we fear the fabric of our unique Austin neighborhood is at risk.
