Hoey continues ... and PUB QUIZ!

Rather than dilute her public views on Brexit it seems Hoey is ardently carrying not representing her constituents in parliament. Yesterday she was defeated (thankfully) by Hillary Benn MP in the election of Chair of the Brexit Select Committee. Last week she attended the Stockwell Labour Branch meeting where I put it to her that many people have taken issue with her method of campaigning rather than just her view. I stressed that our problem with her was her judgement in sharing a platform (boat) with someone that someone that has: 1 – Said that women with children are “worth less” than men in the financial sector 2 – Called for people who have tested positive for HIV to be banned from migrating to Britain as a ‘good start’ in controlling UK borders 3 – Launched the ‘Breaking Point’ poster which mirrored Nazi propaganda footage I stressed that she shamed her constituents and she does not represent the vast majority of her constituents in parliament and asked if she planned on stepping down. In summary she plans on continuing. There is sufficient anger to carry this campaign on, how can she represent the people of Vauxhall on such an important subject in parliament? In other news I’m calling on you all for help! I’m running the London Marathon for the Terrence Higgins Trust in April and attempting to raise some money. I’m holding a pub quiz on Thursday 27th Oct at 7PM at the Theodore Bullfrog Pub near Embankment station. Tickets are £5 per person and you can enter teams of upto six people.
