Morning all, Thank you all for your support we have now reached over 1,100 signatures calling on Kate Hoey MP to resign. I have just sent the below email to Ms Hoey calling on her to respond, as the email states this is not a petition that is going to go away, she has shamed the people of Vauxhall and Lambeth and should stand down. I will circulate the response if and when I receive it. Thank you again and please keep RT and sharing! Dear Ms Hoey, I am writing to you today to express my sincere dismay at the way you campaigned throughout the referendum. As I’m sure you know, a petition that I launched on Friday has now garnered over 1,100 signatures calling for your resignation. The people of Lambeth voted heavily in favour of remaining within the EU, although I have long known your anti-EU views the method of your campaigning was appalling and brought shame on your constituency. As a Labour MP but also as an MP for one of the most diverse areas of the country I find it shocking that you shared a stage and a boat with the likes of Nigel Farage. I am writing to ask you to reply to this email and let the signatories to the petition, Labour Party members and your constituents why you employed such terrible tactics and also give you the chance to apologise. This petition is not going to end like many others, we are now planning to form a campaign in an effort to make you see sense and resign and trigger a by-election. By all means stand again, but you need to give the people of Vauxhall a say in who represents them as currently you have displayed how out of touch you are with your own electorate.
