This update is long overdue.
First, I’d like to apologize for my absence. Between the trial, appeal, additional litigation, promoting the petition, advocating for Kano’s Law, maintaining a social media presence, and building (and re-building) a team, I crashed. HARD. I depleted myself mentally and emotionally, and I needed to remove myself for some time to recover and regroup. Even though things have not gone the way I’d hoped, I survived. Now that I have taken the necessary time to process everything, I can start working towards realizing the trajectory of Kano’s Law. I will pour everything I can spare into bettering the lives of our beloved furry, feathered, and scaled companions.
Secondly, I want to sincerely thank you all for your continued dedication and support in my absence. We are nearing 183K signatures, and that is because of YOU and your efforts.
While I took a step back from all media, I was not idle. I have been recruiting the most passionate animal advocates in this country to collaborate on a new, MUCH larger project. While I cannot say much at this time, I truly believe this could be the comprehensive change this country and our fur-babies so desperately need. When the time comes to reveal this latest endeavor, I hope you will be as ecstatic and proud as I am.
So, what is the latest news that I can relay?
I rejoined the amazing Candie & Cat from CorgiTownUSA to update followers and supporters of Kano’s Law and discuss the problematic legal status of pets as property. We hope you find our episode (Corgi Town Podcast S5 Ep7) insightful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KB3HNL1tuzE
I will also be LIVE on The Animal Intuitive YouTube Channel with host Anne Angelo Webb and attorney Kristina Bergsten of The Animal Law Firm. I hope you will join us on March 26th at 7:30PM EST. (More information to come!)
Let me conclude this update by saying that I am incredibly grateful to our supporters, but I am also thankful for those who are trying to silence me. I know you're watching and I’m glad you are, because I want you to know that I am back. I am wiser. I am stronger. You didn't break me. Most importantly, I won't stop fighting for real, comprehensive legislative change in this country, so that the welfare of our companion animals is protected nationwide. Thank you for challenging me to grow and improve each and every day.
