We have yet another accomplishment to celebrate: incredibly, we’ve exceeded our milestone of 150K by more than 5,300 signatures! A HUGE thank you to each and every one of you for signing and promoting our petition! As we continue to post and share this petition, Tweet the President & NJ Governor, distribute the QR coded flyers, and encourage others to do the same, it’s important to think about WHY this cause is important not only to ourselves, but our communities and society as a whole. In order to declare victory, we must remain steadfast and motivated in our cause to attain legal recognition of our pets’ best interests. We cannot lose sight of this WHY.
I hope to share some exciting news in the upcoming days regarding the next steps for our petition! Until then, please continue to post and share this petition and your personal stories. We’re on our way to 200k!
Below are several thought-provoking questions and articles to help inspire you and your loved ones, associates, and social media followers to ask WHY and make personal connections to our cause.
Why should the best interests of pets be legally recognized? What impact would this new legal status have on society?
Why is animal cruelty wrong and why should we collectively be trying to prevent it? What impact does animal cruelty have on an individual, family, community, and society?
