The petition drive to place a referendum for a 1/4 cent sales tax for mental health purposes on the April 4 ballot is going really well!

If you are available, you are encouraged to attend the Kankakee County Board meeting Tuesday, January 10 at 9:00 AM in the County Administration Building - 4th Floor Board Chamber, 189 E Court Street, Kankakee. We will be there to make Public Comments and need you there to show citizen support for the referendum to fund mental health services. The Board will be voting that day on our request.

If you have been circulating paper petitions, please bring them to the Bradley House, 701 S Harrison Ave, Kankakee, between 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM on Monday, January 9. You can also scan and email them to us at info@cfkrv.org by 6:00 PM Monday.

As of today, we have about 600 online signatures and about 200 on paper petitions. We would love to have 1000 signatures by Tuesday morning when we present the petition to the County Board. Anything you can continue to do to help make that happen - like sharing the link to the petition and asking family, friends, and co-workers to sign the online petition - by Monday at noon will be much appreciated.  The link to the petition is: https://bit.ly/3FvpMWI
