Stop £20m funding for grammar school pupils taxi service & return the money to cut disabled children's general school transport budget.

It has been announced that Grammar School pupils are to get £20m extra funding for School Transport. This whilst the government is cutting money to local councils to provide transport for disabled and disadvantaged children in 'all' our schools, by £7m pa from 2016-17.

What the government are really saying by this announcement is that we'll cut the funding for disabled and disadvantaged children's transport to the vast majority of schools, but increase it substantially for those pupils chosen to attend a new selective grammar school.

No ifs or buts - this is an absolutely disgraceful decision by the Conservatives.

We need to hold every single Tory MP in the country to account over such an unfair decision by their government.

Please sign my petition below, contact your local Conservative member of parliament to say you have signed - and demand they lobby their colleague the Secretary State for Education Justine Greening MP, to reverse such a shockingly divisive proposal.

And insist that the DfE give the money back to where it rightly belongs - the Transport fund for our affected children and not just the grammar school few.

This is a bad business and mustn't go unchallenged.
