Hi Standard Time supporters
I was so disappointed to hear that Alberta will stay on DST. Their government will call it Alberta time. It seems that it doesn’t matter what is healthier or safer for the citizens of Alberta or British Columbia. They want to permanently live in the wrong time zone for their geography putting everyone into permanent jet lag. They will force everyone to wake an hour earlier each day all year and have sunrise in the late fall and winter well past 8 am. This is just plain dangerous.
The Petition with the House of Commons is still to be read. I hope that something will be done at the Federal level to course correct and move the country to Standard Time. We should all be able to live in the correct time zone for our location.
